During my internship with Junior Achievement of Central Iowa, I performed a variety of tasks, including but not limited to created these videos. Their purpose was to highlight the events and programs of the nonprofit. I shot this footage, edited them, and produced the music for the Biztown and Bowl-a-Thon videos. In fact, doing these projects is what inspired me to pursue digital media production in my education.
Professional & career development video production internship
For part of my college career, I was tasked with developing videos as resources for Drake's Office of Professional and Career Development. I got a lot of experience from this internship like learning different editing techniques and working with an animal (Griff II, Drake's live mascot)!
Dawg Dayz is a limited series we created as a group for our LEAD minor capstone project. Our team was composed of different groups including marketing, producers, and talent. Personally, I took the role of editor and a producer of sorts. I shot all the footage except for the interviews of the Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday episodes. I did, however, edit every single episode from front to back. I also was a major part in the planning of this project.

Each episode has a theme centered around resources and opportunities at Drake University's campus. The target audience was current students so that they could be both entertained and informed about what was available for them. Alumni was a secondary audience as we thought they may like to know what's going on with their alma mater.
This was one of the projects from a documentary filmmaking course I took at Drake University. It was produced (prep, cameras, lights, etc.) as a group, but this version was edited completely by me. The other group members are mentioned in the video credits. This was an emotional project that the subject, Lindsay Gilbert, wanted to keep as a video telling of her story. She's given me permission to share this.
