[collaboration album]
(2018) A year in the making, this album was very satisfying to make. My friend Taely Bui and I spent almost every day for a year straight working on this project. He took the main role when it came to production and mixing, though I had a hand in that as well. I took the lead in concepts and writing the songs (though he did his own verses of course). It isn't perfect, as we were still developing our skills, but it is an interesting journey and includes some great production and storytelling.
pineapple szn [ep]
(2018) Pineapple Szn was a passion project of mine. I made and released it the summer between my senior year of high school and first year of college. I knew I was going away soon and wanted to make something positive to look back on, and I wanted to get as many people involved as possible. There are too many people to name right here, but the credits are on SoundCloud. I made most of the production and wrote a lot of the lyrics, but I'm most proud of the fact that I could get as many people involved as I did. It made people happy and allowed them to explore their creativity right along with me.
"Advice from yourself"
"Let me breath (feat. lily bogue)"
(2019) I released these two tracks as a package on SoundCloud. I made them during my time at Drake University as final projects for two different classes. I did not have anything to do with the music production on these tracks. I only wrote and recorded the lyrics.
"Advice From Yourself" is a reflection of my FYS (First-Year Seminar) "Toxic Charity" where we discussed the most impactful ways to help our communities. It is delivered from the point of view of myself writing a letter to the version of myself before I took the course.
The other track, "Let Me Breath", is about autonomy. It was done as the final for my introduction to leadership course (which ended up being my minor). The singer, Lily Bogue, is a friend with an amazing voice that I asked to be a part of this. She was not in the class.
"No warning freestyle"
(2022) This song is the most recent single for my upcoming album Existential Absurdity (coming in October). Along with writing and performing the lyrics, I also I created the artwork and production for the track. My friend Joey Fleming did the mixing (as he will be doing for the entirety of the album). This is just a quick, fun hip-hop song that aims to entertain.
Existential Absurdity [album]
(2022) From the time I wrote the first lyric and produced the first snare drum to when I finally uploaded the master tracks for distribution, I had spent over four years working on this. Therefore, the content covers a lot of time. In fact, it's pretty much my college experience. A lot happened in that time, and this is essentially my reaction to it all. All the stories/snippets included are of people that I care deeply about, even if they don't happen to be in my life anymore. It makes me uncomfortable to listen to much of the album, actually. But life isn't comfortable, and I wanted this to be a reflection of life and my perspective of it.
